Dr. Leonard A. Rubinstein, our Medical Director, has over 27 years of experience in Cosmetic Surgery and Rejuvenation Medicine and specializes in natural-appearing Image Enhancement procedures of the Face and Body as well as Healthy Age Management. A graduate of LaSalle University and Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly the Medical College of Pennsylvania), Dr. Rubinstein received specialty training in Internal Medicine and General Surgery and then completed specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology/ Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at the world-renown Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He continued his training in Body Contour Cosmetic Surgery through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the International Academy of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery and the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Rubinstein is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the International Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, The American Academy of Liposuction Surgery, the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. For Dr. Rubinstein’s innovative contributions to the field of Cosmetic Surgery, he has received the distinguished honor of being chosen as one of the “100 Best Cosmetic Surgeons of the World” by the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and “One of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Rubinstein is a frequently-invited faculty member of many national and international symposia speaking on his unique approaches to achieving natural-appearing results through his holistic and integrative approach to Cosmetic Surgery and Rejuvenation Medicine.
Dr. Rubinstein is credited for many advances in the fields of Cosmetic Surgery, including an innovative approach to Cosmetic Breast Enhancement Surgery which he developed wherein the entire surgery can be performed without a resultant scar on the skin. This unique approach, called the RejuvENHANCE Intra-Areolar Multi-W-Plasty Technique, or the “No-Skin-Scar” Breast Augmentation Technique. The “No-Skin-Scar” Breast Augmentation technique has been featured in several trade journals, including the April 2003 issue of the national publication Cosmetic Surgery Times, and has been the featured topic of many medical symposia worldwide.
Dr. Rubinstein is the developer of the RejuvLIFT™ Facial Rejuvenation Procedure, a revolutionary alternative to the traditional face-lifting procedures found elsewhere. The RejuvLIFT™ procedure provides a long-lasting natural-appearing aesthetic facial appearance enhancement with minimal downtime, tiny incisions, minimal bruising nor discomfort. Patients fly to Dr. Rubinstein for these unique procedures from over 25 countries. Dr. Rubinstein was involved in the development of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and its efforts in brining Liposuction to the United States.., As one of the first Cosmetic Surgeons to perform Liposuction Surgery in North America, Dr. Rubinstein's unique techniques of Liposculpture Body Contour Enhancement, including his Rejuv Liposculpture, have earned him world-wide recognition as a master surgeon and he is frequently invited to serve as faculty of liposuction surgery meetings. Dr. Pierre Fournier, considered by many as the "Father of Liposuction" has invited Dr. Rubinstein to serve as co-faculty of Dr. Fournier's Liposuction Courses. In the Fall of 2006, Dr. Rubinstein was recognized in the International Anniversary Meeting of 30 Years of Liposuction held in Rome, Italy, by Drs. Fournier and Giorgio Fischer for his contributions over the years to the field of Liposculpture Surgery. In November of 2007 he participated as Faculty in the 5thInternational Conference of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine held in California and has served as one of the principal invited teachers at Cosmetic Surgery and Liposuction meetings throughout the world.
Dr. Rubinstein prides himself in always reaching out to the latest advances in his field and strives to provide the latest treatment options for his patients. At his Center for Integration in Cosmetic Surgery and Rejuvenation Medicine, he promotes a uniquely holistic and integrative approach to wellness and aesthetics which he prefers to refer to as Healthy Age Management and Image Enhancement. He lectures extensively on this unique holistic and integrative approach to looking and feeling your best “from the inside-out” and has encouraged thousands of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons worldwide to adopt a more integrative approach to patient care which would include managing the internal functional imbalances of the patient nutritionally and hormonally while providing the latest advancements in minimal- scarring cosmetic surgical and non-surgical techniques. His latest development, the “Stem-Cell-Enhanced” Facial Rejuvenation Procedure is getting worldwide attention and is being correctly offered in his Mexico City office.
